This is a pair handmade trolls by the Norwegian woodcarver artist Anton Sveen. Anton's grandfather Ole inspired his children and grandchildren to be crafty with his own hand-carved jewelry boxes and other fine arts such as chairs, tables, and mirrors. Anton began making wooden carvings in the 1930s, but didn't begin his signature trolls until the 1940s. The trolls have smoking pipes and walking sticks. I cant find any signature other then the removable tail has a # 6 on it. It has a nice smooth finish with beautiful ornate Breast plate, saddle and harness all hand painted with gem like inlays.
