   A 19th Century Victorian gilt wood picture frame c1890. The impressive frame is in wonderful large, elegant and imposing size. Carruthers & Sons as the carver and gilder is documented on the back, carving and gilding frames in Manchester in the late 1800s to the early 1900s, Glasgow Scotland. In completely unrestored condition, straight out of a grand country house. This would make a lovely mirror. Presents nicely'as is' but deserves to be restored as this is by a highly rated maker. Vintage Victorian antique item, circa 1880's. 40.5cm by 25cm and 13cm high. Please note that the lock has been forced open, however please note that the brass lock is still present, and there is damage to the crease of the green leather interior. Also I think that new hinges may have been put on the box.
