A LOVELY LARGE VINTAGE ORIGINAL FRENCH RUSTIC FARM SHOP WOODEN SIGN OR PLAQUE. HAND CARVED WITH THE WORD POMMES. LOVELY OLD SIGN IN GOOD VINTAGE USED CONDITION WITH MODERN HANGERS ON THE BACK. APPROXIMATELY 97.5 cm OR 38 1/4" WIDE AND 31 cm OR 12" HIGH. THE WOOD IS APPROXIMATELY 3/4 THICK. THE CARVING IS ABOUT HALF WAY THROGH. MINOR AGEING AND WEAR ON ONE END AS SHOWN. An early 20th century Epicerie shop front sign. Wood with hand painted lettering. Beautiful colours and patination to the paintwork. Crackling to the paintwork, chips and general wear and tear to the wood. Dimensions H35 W101 D6 cms.
