Danish 1970's Rosewood Desk. This is a superb vintage 1970's rosewood (probably Brazilian) desk with a bookshelf on the other side enabling it to sit in the centre of the room if required. Equally can go against a wall and lose the bookshelf functionality. The desk condition is excellent with patina commensurate with age i. E a few very light marks and time staining to the top where use has been over the years but it has never been restored so in very genuine condition.    Here is a fine little Japanese Hermit mask. Carved in a high quality aged, renown yew wood, overlayed with a traditional shellac. Appears to be Yew wood (poisonous to sand), done in a traditional Ichii-itto-bori Technique to highlight the rich grains. Ichii-itto-bori carving is a woodcraft technique that involves carving yew wood using only chisels, and was developed by a netsuke master, Matsuda Sukenaga. Matsuda was from the Hida region of Japan.
