An impressive very large antique Mahogany Victorian Scotch chest of drawers. Painted in Farrow and Ball's Off Black, a rich black/grey/blue with great depth, waxed, aged and lightly distressed for a French country style. Two small and four huge dovetail jointed drawers, all with beautiful original handles with inlaid Mother of Pearl insert, three also have mother of pearl escutcheon (photo 5) Hidden top drawer, all offering plenty of storage. This statement piece is over 200 years old and therefore shows signs of use and age, solid and sturdy, built to last, with marks, chips and blemishes, 2 handles have small pieces missing photo 12 this only adds character to this vintage piece.
