Vintage Mid Century School / Cinema folding bench of 3 seats that fold up individually. The frame can also be folded flat, great for storing or transportation. The bench has a lovely warm colour to the wood and nice patina. There are marks, knocks and wear as you would expect for age and use. The back rest has been repaired where the wood has split at some point however the bench is solid and sturdy. While checkin out the chairs the lady gave us some information of their origin. She said that these chairs were originally fitted in another town's cinema not far from this place which was built in the early 50s with these seats. Later in the 70s they changed the function of the cinema building so they transported these seats over this place and fitted them with new upholstery (yellow-ish color last photo).    Each row has x7 seats. They were bought from Peppermill Interiors and originally they belonged to a theatre in Prague at the beginning of the 1900s. As they are original items, these vintage folding cinema seats will have the characteristics of older furniture with knocks, scratches and general signs of wear and tear apparent.    Beautiful vintage Belgian theatre seats made by Fibrocit, Brussels. These were the first model of these seats made by this company and they date from the 1930s. The seats were salvaged from a cinema in Comblain au Pont in Belgium. In overall lovely original condition, the soft close mechanism works well.
