   This is a gorgeous bed we found recently near Chartres. It has it's original cream coloured painted finish. The bed is in the style of Louis XI and has lots of detail with ribbed columns and tall posts. Across the base there is further rope effect detail. The fabric is a lovely silky effect with beautiful bloomy blue and white flowers such as Peonies and Wisteria. The bed is in good solid condition, and as found so could benefit from a clean.
