Incredibly rare, possibly unique sofa daybed designed by Maurice Burke for Arkana. More well-known for his Tulip tables and Safari chairs, I've been unable to find another example of a sofa by him. The design is brilliant, really low-slung and minimalist. The arms are I think oak, though not 100% sure. The original fabric has no rips or tears. The webbing is complete and I'm good condition, though the firmness is on the softer side of medium. The back flips over to convert to a single day bed. There is some hidden damage revealed in this mode, from where the mechanism has rubbed against the wood over the years. This is not seen when in sofa mode. In overall excellent original condition throughout. The wood has a couple of minor age-related scuffs, and the material has some tiny white paint marks and a faint brown stripe mark, both of which are not very noticeable. And both of which I'm reducing by gently steam cleaning.
