   This is an antique wooden box with an intricate colourful micro mosaic pattern down the sides and bordering the lid. The centre of the lid has a repousse metal panel that has been embossed with an image of a King or similar with men stood around him. This after a little googling I found to be Islamic - Persian sort of design. No maker's marks etc. In collectable condition with normal signs of age and use wear. Looks like the metal panel may have been gold plated at one point but 99% of the gilding has worn off. Some of the detailing on the highest points of the metal are worn. The lid...
