A vintage oak desk produced in the 1940s. Constructed from solid oak and oak veneers, the desk features three solid oak drawers to the right side and pull out slides. In great vintage condition, the oak has a lovely colour, grain pattern and patina that only age can produce.
With all the charm of the era, you can have hours of fun pretending you're a banker, librarian or strict headmaster! I have other vintage desks of differ sizes also listed for sale. CONDITION overall is good for its age is good, there are of course the usual age related scratches and marks, mainly to the top. Stretcher bar to left hand side is bowed. Height from floor to underside of desk: 67cm. The older pieces of furniture are better made, normally by craftsmen and not machines, have more character & if looked after will last many years. I also love much older pieces, if they are unusual, well made & a great design I will offer them for sale.

I like to keep pieces as original as possible & will clean & re oil / wax. I convert some to'Hairpin leg' pieces if they have no legs / ugly legs or missing legs.
