Beautiful jewellry box from Chinese origin and more precisely of Shanghai, around the 1950s. It is in rosewood, adorned with pushed brass and jadeite. Two doors open on a space comprising four capitated drawers. The lower part has a fifth double drawer. Dimensions: 19 cm x 15 cm and 30 cm high.

Beautiful Vintage Carved Walnut Wooden Jewellery Box. The box features a secret locking mechanism and can be opened by sliding the lower front panel of the box to the right side. Measures approx 20cm x 13.5cm deep x 8cm high. Compartments are approx 8 x 9cm.   

Antique Anglo India profusely carved wooden box with foliage and a bird. It could be used to house anything but I think its original purpose was probably as a cigar box just because if it was for jewellery it would normally be lined with fabric. It measures 28cm x 18cm x 9.5cm, weighs 1400g and is in very good used antique/vintage condition. There is a lock but no key.    Vintage Chinese Wood Jewellery Box With Jade. An absolutely beautiful miniature cabinet jewellery box with brass detailing and inlaid with hand carved Jade panels. The brass has great patina. This stylish box was owned by the world famous 1950s/1960s singer and entertainer Alma Cogan. I have 100% provenance, also see photo of the box in Alma's home on her desk (behind Alma, left of photo). The box has 3 interior drawers with a red silk lining. The brass detail on the front of each drawer folds to open them. The box comes with 2 brass locks and keys. Overall in a very good condition ...

   Stunning mahogany trinket/jewellery box inlaid with boxwood. This stunning mahogany box is inlaid to the top with two layers of boxwood, and one layers of inlay to each of the sides. The interior of the box has a first tray with a strip ring holder at the back, and a bracelet stand to the front, the tray then lifts up to reveal a further space, its all covered with a yellow felt like material. Truly superb box dates to around C1800. It measures approximately 8 inches/ 20.5cm wide, by 5.5 inches/ 14cm deep, by 3.25 inches/ 8.5cm tall.
