A pair of mid-century bentwood armchairs, designed by Jaroslav Smidek and made in the former Czechoslovakia. This particular design - 6951 - was created as a submission to a competition run by TON in the 1960s. It was put into production and was very popular; it remains a much sought-after design to the present day. These chairs are in good structural condition: the wooden frame is generally solid and the joints are sound.
