It has been handmade from old Victorian floorboards and at some point (possibly the 1950s) been lined with English made wall paper. Made in Paris in the 18th century it still has its original makers marks on the front of the trunk. It is in very good condition considering it's age with most of the wear being some splits and threads on the interior of the trunk (see photos).
