I got this at an estate sale over 20 years ago. Not sure whether this antique/vintage piece is Asian, Scandinavian or English, but based on my internet searching, I'd say it resembles more the English style than any other. Overall height is 6", 4.5" at the shoulder of the "apple". The "stem" is a separate piece of carved wood, inserted into a hole in the top. I don't know what kind of wood it is. I know these are sometimes made of fruitwood, but I just can't say.   

This is a beautiful Italian bombe commode with lovely hand painted detail originally retailed by Harrods of London. This dates from the mid 20th century and is of serpentine shape, hand painted with harebells, swags, garlands and acanthus scrolls. The cabinet is in a soft sponged green with some minor ageing marks to the top surface. There are three useful drawers and the cabinet is raised on shaped splayed feet.    Antique Vintage Chinese Oriental Carved Low Solid Wooden Side Coffee Table Wood. This is a lovely oriental, detailed low coffee table, with decorative carvings to the top and sides, reswith brass inlays. Unsure of the exact age, make or wood type etc, but have tried to describe as closely and accurately as we can. Do have quite a few marks, scuffs, scratches and signs of wear and tear commensurate with age and type of item. Would benefit from a good clean and polish. There are some signs of previous repair. Vintage Georgian antique item, circa 1800. The frame measures 39.5cm by 29.5cm. A very early and rare item but please note that there is some damage to the reverse to the glass. It looks like the paint is bobbling or wearing off in patches.
