Condition: Very Good with only small signs of age, mainly in the form of some light pressure marking and rubbing to the velour. Description: A stylish Danish Art Deco 1940s 2 seat'Banana' sofa. Please note we also have a matching lounge chair to accompany this sofa, which can be found in a separate listing. The sofa is upholstered in Gold coloured velour, with ribbed detailing all the way around the backrest of the piece, as well as exposed furniture tacks around the edges of the sofa. The profile of the sofa features an elegant curve, thus giving it the Banana name. Like the majority of Danish Art Deco seating from this era, the sofa is sprung underneath with scissor springs, and is raised upon a Beech wood frame. The sofa is also raised on four tapering and turned Beech feet to each corner. All items are for sale elsewhere, so may be removed at any time.
