This is an absolutely beautiful, very old and large, heavily carved & detailed camphor wood Eastern Oriental trunk/ blanket box / chest / coffee table. This Chinese wooden hand carved trunk has stunning carving to the top, sides and back and is very heavy & of top quality. The trunk has wonderful carved Oriental figures in boats and Oriental buildings & bridges. Around the borders of the trunk there is floral decorative detail. It has a typical Oriental brass lock at the front.

It is very heavy and of excellent quality and in excellent condition. It has been sympathetically oiled and cleaned. This trunk could be used as a coffee table but you would probably need to get a piece of glass cut to put on the top of the trunk to protect the wonderful carving and to make a flat surface to put cups and such like on it. This trunk is simply stunning and would make a welcome addition to any home interior, oriental restaurant or business. This trunk has been professionally cleaned and comes to you in excellent antique condition.
