The base is a very deep dark blue that we have cleaned back and applied a clear protective coat to make it wipeable. The top appears to have been added later and is solid wooden plank top. The tabletop as been stripped and rewaxed, it looks like new, really beautiful. Very active grain with lots of movement. The table is in very good to excellent vintage condition the top is amazing, the legs have a few very slight marks around the bottom that you always get with Ercol table legs. No stains, scratches or ring marks and the colour is even. It's been just been cleaned and re waxed and look perfect. A stunning table fit to grace any stylish home....
