   Lovely Antique/Vintage French Ebonised Barley Twist Stool. This is a lovely vintage French stool. We assume that it may have originally been a piano stool, or possibly even just a footstool. We think that the wood is probably oak, however it has been ebonised to give it a deep black colour. In areas around the feet, the original colour of the wood is starting to show through. It has four legs, each with a thick barley twist carving. These legs are then connected with two diagonal thinner barley twist stretchers.
