Vintage Afromosia Sideboard by Richard Hornby. (Fine Lady Furniture - Retailed at Heals & Harrods). Richard Hornby's furniture is beautifully made and of superb quality. This superb early 1960s Hornby sideboard is one of his most attractive designs with a beautiful linear symmetry, well balanced proportion and elegance. With the classic'Hornby reeded drawers' the sideboard is made from Afromosia - an exotic hardwood with a wonderful dark and rich colour.
The sideboard is very heavy and usable, original in all respects and firmly set on finely tapered legs. In very good original condition with only a few very minor and superficial marks commensurate with age and careful use. For remote and far flung areas, it may be more expensive.
