World Class custom distressed antique nightstand/side table. I acquired this great little table needing my artistic touch & craftsman hands, I restore fine antiques.. I restored it from top to bottom and gave it a new life with a custom look! By design I left lots of character marks, nicks, dings, cracks(mainly at the leg tips)and distress marks in the wood! I lined the drawer bottom with some velvety soft wide ribbed black cordoroy, it looks & feels great.

The antique brass Lion head pull is the icing on the cake it looks great with this distressed look! Notice the detail of all the turnings on the legs.

With the custom finish you can see the grain patterns/design & feel the texture of the grain when you rub you hands over the top, it is silky smooth but you can still feel the textures, it is very beautiful!! I restored the finish with black oil paint & accented with the rich antique gold..

The rich chestnut colors of the wood below show through the black... Then I sealed the entire piece with a glaze of varnish giving depth, beauty & protection to the finish!! His store was a Chicago icon for decades!!
