This Is Simply A Beautiful And Very Rare Bracket/Mantel Clock. This Vintage Christiaan Huygens Oak Wood Case Planisphaerium Automated Triple Chime Clock. Complete with it's original limited edition brass plaque and movement that was made for Christiaan Huygens and only number 25 out of a total of 1,404 that was made available in this series. This clock is automated meaning the dials all move hour to hour and with 3 different melodies (see movie) and in full working condition. Comes complete with the date/day feature and silent switch plus so much more.
This is a very rare stunning low limited edition vintage Christiaan Huygens triple chime 3 melodies musical Planisphaerium automaton bracket clock. Comes complete with brass plaque on the inside of the rear door and with Christiaan Huygens on the movement. This named plaque and impressed movement shows you are getting the original product. The clock case is in the beautiful square style and is with a beautiful oak wood finish. Beautiful big front glass door with stunning dial. Rear door also to gain access to the stunning movement. Some minor ageing around the handle but can be polished if required.
On either side of the case their are 2 wooden large wooden fretwork sounding panels with their original silk material behind them and both in perfect condition. Large brass handle and brass feet. This rare clock model features this triple chime feature and automated Planisphaerium dial that moves with every hour passing. Also to add is the clock benefits from a day and date calendar.
All of the Planetarium automations run in accordance with the movement with various moon phase and sun dials, zodiac signs and symbols. Also months of the year and to add 17 world cities around the outside so you can see the times in different cities with the hand locator to centre. The dial has a selection lever on the front right hand side of the dial to choose for any one of the 3 different chimes to include Westminster, Whittington & St Michaels. Also a silent option, however I cannot imagine why anyone would want to turn off the sound from this (see movie). There is also a lever to pull down on the hammers to secure them should you wish to transport the clock, this will be applied when sending.
The 8 day movement has a balance wheel escapement and is striking on 8 rods in total and is impressed with the wording''Made in West Germany For Christiaan Huygens'. And only the best German movements was used. The quarter chiming musical chimes every quarter of an hour on 8 hammers rods on 8 rods every quarter (15 mins). This clock is a work of art and a 1980s reproduction of an earlier model and no longer available.
Limited to only 1,404 makes this particular clock very rare. 13.9 inches / 35.5cm wide taken from the brass feet. 9.4 inches / 24cm deep taken from the brass feet. 21.27 inches / 46cm high with handle. This clock weighs around 9kg approx.

The brass feet will be removed for transit and just screw back in. The screws will be left in so they do not go missing. This product is located in The Netherlands.
