A lovely large mahogany twin pedestal extending dining table. We date this table to the first half of the 20th century. The table consists of three sections, two d-ends and the extension leaf. The sections sit on sturdy well turned columns each supported on regency style splayed sabre legs with brass paw end caps above metal castors.

The table tops have well matched finely figured grain mahogany. The pedestals are secured with brass bracket clips. The table has a height of 29" (74cm), an unextended length of 72" (183cm) and a width of 42 (107cm). With the extension leaf in place the length increases to 96 (244cm). This lovely large vintage mahogany regency style dining table remains in a solid condition with surface markings commensurate with age and usage. The table top is showing some areas of wear to the surface finish including a few minor indentations, some scratches and some usage marks, all from past use.
The leaf has a darker ring mark in the centre and a darker mark off centre. This remains a very stylish and elegant mahogany twin pedestal dining table which will seat 6-8 in comfort unextended 8-10 with the extension leaf in place. It will continue to provide sterling service for many years to come.
